Here's a thread we had on our X page explaining how Rider Switch works at Disney World:
🧵 Thread: How does Rider Switch work at Disney World? 🏰✨
/8 🚼 Rider Switch is a convenient service for families with young children or guests who cannot or do not want to ride certain attractions. It allows one adult to wait with non-riders while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction.
/8 📍 Here’s how it works: When you arrive at an attraction that offers Rider Switch, approach a Cast Member at the entrance and let them know you’d like to use Rider Switch.
/8 🎢 The Cast Member will give a Rider Switch entitlement to the waiting adult (or adults) and any accompanying non-riders. The rest of the group will go through the regular queue and enjoy the ride.
/8 ⏱️ Once the first group has ridden, the waiting adult (or adults) can then use the Rider Switch entitlement to access the Lightning Lane entrance without having to wait in the regular line.
/8 👨👩👧 Typically, the Rider Switch entitlement allows the waiting adult to bring up to 2 additional guests with them. This means older siblings or friends can ride twice—once with each group!
/8 🚼 Rider Switch is available at select attractions across all four Disney World parks, including popular rides like Splash Mountain, Avatar Flight of Passage, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
/8 📝 Tips: Make sure everyone in your party knows the plan before splitting up. Check with a Cast Member if you’re unsure whether Rider Switch is offered at a particular attraction.
/8 🏰 Rider Switch makes it easier for everyone in your group to enjoy their favorite rides, even with little ones in tow. Happy planning and enjoy the magic! ✨
